Here is the (very) last-minute list of my favorites (in bold) for this year’s Oscars, vote in the comments and keep your fingers crossed😉

(In some categories I put in italics who is most likely to win in my opinion, for some categories I did not vote as I did not see all the movies nominated)

Best picture – my favorite is American Hustle, but Gravity is gonna win, I could almost best on it

Director – well once again my vote goes to American Hustle but I think Alfonso will win this one too

Lead actor – sorry Leo but to me, you’ll have to pass on this Oscar, my vote goes to Matthew, hundred of my votes actually

Lead actress – in my heart no one beats Meryl if she does not win, I’ll cause a riot !

Amy Adams, “American Hustle”, Cate Blanchett, “Blue Jasmine”, Judi Dench, “Philomena”, Meryl Streep, “August: Osage County”, Sandra Bullock, “Gravity”

Supporting actor – I’ve already embarassed myself too many times on this one, hundred of votes to Jared + a riot if he does not win

Barkhad Abdi, “Captain Phillips”, Bradley Cooper, “American Hustle”, Michael Fassbender, “12 Years a Slave”, Jonah Hill, “The Wolf of Wall Street”, Jared Leto, “Dallas Buyers Club”

Supporting actress – that’s a tie for me between J-Law and Julia, but Lupita was really good too so she deserves it as much as the other two !

Animated feature film – I have a huge soft spot for Minions

Cinematography – Prisoners gets my vote, but Gravity will win this one  (good things always come in three right ?)

Costume design – Catherine Martin is one of my heroes, but American Hustle was also great in terms of costumes

Documentary feature – a look on the lives of backup singers is enough to get my vote, I have a thing for underdogs

Documentary short subject – I haven’t seen any of those but Alice Herz Sommer died last week so a roundabout tribute would not be such a bad thing

Film editing – Gravity makes it four
